Born into a creative family, I am the self-appointed designer of the house. My mother used to write for a local music magazine, my sister is a creative director in an independent agency, and another is running her own small fashion label. Having been born and bred in Singapore, I like to set my sights further than what the little red dot can offer. This has brought me traipsing around Europe, immersing myself in creative, cultural and artistic experiences of music festivals, art galleries and museum exhibitions. 

 

Despite being impressed by my European adventures, my all-time favourite hangout is still the pocket-friendly and authentic Teh Sarabat Stall. Not quite a cafe, the hole in the wall is where I enjoy people-watching and watch the day go by. The visual and visceral experience of seeing locals and tourists from all walks of life never fails to inspire me. It's the myriad of colours, noise and culture that feeds my ever-burgeoning curiosity whenever I’m there.  

 

As a freelance designer, I like to be able to pick and choose the work that I do to ensure they matter and make a difference to the community.
